Shetland Bus

Shetland Bus, Scotland, Mainland of Shetland, camera: Zenit ET, photo: Krystian Kozerawski

1999 Scotland, Mainland of Shetland. Photo of a southern part of that island. The photo was taken with my old Russian SLR camera Zenith ET. After it was scanned I was playing a little with it in Photoshop, trying to get some nice colours. However the film was a little bit scratched and there was some dirt on the print so I decided to give it a bit of old style, BW coloured photo. After that attempts (with some additional scratches and dirt) it looks like a photo from pre or war time. The story of Norwegian resistance supported and supplied by British army via Shetland Islands using the small fishermen trawlers - called Shetland bus, was the first thing that I had on my mind. I have decided to use a name of the Islands I have found somewhere, and that sounds more Germanic (however not German), and I made a photo stylised on spy photo taken by a German spy during the war.
