Zabrze (Hindeburg from 1915 till 1945), Upper Silesia (Gorny Slask, Oberschlesien), Poland. Town of miners and mines. Town used to be multinational - Polish, German and Jewish. The town faced all of the troubles of the history. German rule over Poles, Polish uprisings, plebiscites, for more than 20 years was divided between Poland and Germany. It was a front line town when all the tensions between two nations were part of the reality. For over 30 years the name of the city was changed to Hindenburg (the part on the German side). Due to the Nazis and 50 years of chaos of the communism the football stadium still has the name of Adolf Hitler. Camera: Samsung GX 10.
