The Doomed Cows

September 2007, Ireland, Balitore, co. Kildare, cows on the field behind the barbed wire fence. Cows, that we - people - breed, are mostly doomed to death in the slaughter houses and finally are consumed. They are not aware of their fate until they find themselves in the queue for death by a shot to the head. I am just curious how many of us wouldn’t have touched any meat if they were forced to kill the cow by themselves in the slaughterhouses, if they were forced to cut the head, to cut parts that are still moving, parts of the body where the last sparks of life are still present. We have pushed the killing process away of us and we are sorry for the cows but we like the tasty burgers, beefstucks etc. I am not vegetarian by the way.
