If you had the time to stay a little longer in Laois and Dunamase you would have found that the area is littered with families by the name of “Davis”

Perhaps next time???

Dear Ellen,
There was always this rumor in the Davis end of my family, that we where some how decended from Dunamase. Being a kid from New Jersey, with quite a bit of mixed British back ground (three of out of Four of my grand parents had some Irish ancestry; truth: my ancestors didn’t know what side of The Irish Sea to stay on, to the point one was Irish born and head constable on the Ise of Man) any way, I assumed this was some Welsh or English place. Visiting Ireland last year, I was some what surprised to find out that the town next to Dunamase was Ballydavis. I would love to send this picture to my 93 year old mother, from where the story of Dunamase came from.

wow, it look really great.

interestingly, it blends pretty well with the color of the skies and is complimented by the green grass carpet.
