The traditional Kashubian house in the Sominy village (Sommin in German). Though the houses with thatched roofs are not in the use anymore, some of them are preserved as historic monuments. The old wooden houses are still in use. In the Sominy (Sommin) village you can still visit the old wooden school and beautiful wooden church (once Lutheran, now Catholic).

Interesting angle. Am working on a drawing of a castle I am making up.I want to include a thatched roof on top, and this is the first picture that gives me the feel I am looking for.
