Somewhere in Dingle, Ireland

Postcard from Dingle, Ireland, camera: Konica Minolta A1 DiMage, photo: Krystian Kozerawski, www.kozerawski.com

July 2007, Ireland, somewhere in Dingle peninsula. Picture taken during the adventure trip organised by Vagabond Ireland. I was sent with them in a position of travel journalist by Wings Magazine (magazine on board of Polish cheap flights Central Wings). The picture shows typical North Atlantic scenery for west coast of Ireland and Scotland (both areas are more or less similar). It was one of the last photos taken with my hybrid camera Konica Minolta A1 before its ccd sensor died becasue of its structural defect (all Konica Minolta A1 and A2 cameras had this defect). Luckily due to the fault of the factory the sensor was replaced for free, however I got a new dSLR so my Konica Minolta is not in use at present.

Black Winter Day, part 2

Black Winter Day, Lodz, Poland, park, trees, camera: Samsung GX10, photo: Krystian Kozerawski, www.kozerawski.com

December 2007, Poland, Lodz, Park Staromiejski known as “Park Sledzia” (Park of the herring). The strange name of the place comes from the fish market that used to be in that place. The park lays at the edge of Baluty - Old Jewish district of the town (and former Litzmannstadt Ghetto) and the city centre. The market was one of the most smelly places in Lodz, and the river that used to flow in the place of Polnocna Street (North Street) was one of the most polluted, that finally was covered and turned into sewer.
Today the park is quite nice place with its trees, water pools and the paths with the stylised lampposts. It is a green patch just beside the crowdy and grey city centre, however it is not a good place to have a walk at night. Camera: Samsung GX 10, Lens Samsung 17-50mm + Hama Polar filter.

Old cemetery in Lodz at Ogrodowa Street. This old cemetery in Lodz is a burial place of most of the noble men of Lodz of 3 Christian religions. The cemetery is divided to Catholic, Orthodox and Lutheran section. The founders of modern Lodz are buried there - Karol Scheibler (owner one of the biggest factories and the founder of workers colony - Ksiezy Mlyn), Henryk & Ludwik Grohman, Gustaw & Emil & Ludwik Geyer (factory owners), Robert Biedermann (factory founder) & Alfred Biedermann (factory owner, chairman of the Tramway Company in Lodz), Ludwik Anstadt (director of Lodz brewery in 19th century), Johan Petersilge (printer of the first newspapers in Lodz - Łódzkie Ogłoszenia - Łodźer Anzeiger (bilingual, German title has Polish letters in name of the town) and Lodzer Zeitung) and many more. These photos came from Lutheran (mixed Polish and German) part of the cemetery. Camera: Samsung GX10

Another photo of Old Jewish Cemetery in Kazimierz district of Krakow (Cracow), Poland. Photo taken during my yesterday’s trip to that city. This is one of the oldest cemeteries in Poland where the dead had being buried from 16th till 19th century. The cemetery is placed in the heart of the Jewish district and lies just behind the only one open orthodox synagogue (of 7 synagogues in Kazimierz). Camera: Samsung GX 10.
